Mr Shearer lost his direction compass, a few minutes later Shearer is able to figure that he is moving in the correct direction i.e. north. How did Shearer know that he is moving in the correct direction?

The colour of each hat is purely random. They could all be green, blue, or any combination of green and blue.

You cannot hear the goats from behind the doors, or in any way know which door has the prize.
