What breaks yet never falls, and what falls yet never breaks?

Imagine a box with two cogwheels, one big with 24 teeth and one small with 8 teeth. The big one is firmly attached to the center of the box which means it does not turn or move while the small one rotates around the big one.

How many times do you think that the smaller wheel will turn compared to the box when it turns once around the big one?

A girl rode into a tourist spot out of the city on Thursday. She loved the place and decided to stay for a few days. She stayed for four days and then she left for back home on Thursday.

In the Wild West, you are challenged into a death match by two bounty hunters nicknamed Golden Revolver (GR) and Killer Boots (KB). You accept the challenge. None of you want to waste any of the bullet and so a certain rules are laid down:

A Japanese ship was en route to a mission on foreign seas. The captain of the ship felt tired and thought of taking a bath. These types of puzzles are known as charades. What you have to do is to find two words that are referred to in the first stanza and the second stanza and put them together to form the third word in the third stanza.

Just for example, if my first refers to 'off' and my second refers to 'ice', then my whole will be the 'office'.
